I first became interested in this organization when I moved to Waterloo four years ago. I had gone to many different conferences with topics including: immigration, financial crisis, food for thought, the Crisis in Darfur, Food for the Thought and many others.
When I sat with my like-minded friends in that audience, I looked around with "awe" and amazement. I e-mailed and e-mailed and continued to attend events and tried to get my foot in the door. To my amazement, these proactive measures worked!
For my program at Conestoga College I am required to find a 6 week placement.
I set mine up in October at an organization I have followed over the years and feel very close to: the Centre for International Governance Innovation. I am also currently volunteering there to get a feel for the organization and start to get excited!
